Goal

  • What would you like to achieve with this discussion? What is your goal for this conversation?
  • What is your long-term goal, beyond the scope of just this conversation?
  • Are you goals SMARTI?
  • SMARTI: is there a timeline that is important? Can the objective be achieved in the time available to us?
  • Is the timing of the goals arising from this conversation realistic?
  • How much control do you have over the achievement of your goal?
  • If you had an open wish for this conversation, what would it be?
  • What would give you the feeling our time together was well-spent?
  • Getting back to your goal, what would success look like? Feel like? Sound like? Will you be able to measure it in any way?
  • What are milestones along the way?
  • If you could have your way, what would the future look like after you have successfully reached your aim?
  • Is that future positive for all stakeholders involved?
  • What would you like to happen that is not happening now, or what would you like not to happen that is happening now?
  • What are the long-term perspectives / benefits well after you have achieved your goal? Who else will benefit?

  • Where do we stand today?
  • What is currently happening? (what, where, when, who, how much, how often).
  • Who are the protagonists? Are there any more?
  • What are your stakeholders saying?
  • How is your challenge affecting others?
  • What is the pain experienced of those involved?
  • How do others see this problem / challenge?
  • Are there stakeholders who are gaining through this?
  • How do you know that your perception is accurate?
  • Do you have a working hypothesis (inuition?) about root causes?
  • What have you done so far?
  • Which problems / obstacles do you encounter?
  • Are there other people involved in these obstacles?
  • How would you rate your success in what you have undertaken?
  • What feedback have you received?
  • Are there resources you are not yet using to solve the problem? Why ist hat?

  • Brainstorm ideas: What ideas do you have to potentially change the situation?
  • What could you conceivably do?
  • Which ideas have you already tried out?

  • Who could you engage to help you out?
